Maggie Grace was born Margaret Grace Denig on September 21, 1983. She is an American Actress best known as Shannon Rutherford in ABC TV show Lost. Maggie Grace was born in Worthington in Ohio. She was kicked out of school after her parents divorced to go to Los Angeles to live with her mother. Even though she had financial difficulties, her 2001 debut was in the role of Rachel's Room's principal character. In 2002, she was awarded a Young Artist Award in 2002 due to her role in Murder in Greenwich of a 15-year aged Martha Moxley as a murder victim, she went on to take home the award. Grace was Shannon Rutherford on the Lost TV show in 2004. She was the main protagonist for two seasons and was awarded the Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace decided to leave the show in order to pursue a professional film work. She had starred alongside Tom Welling opposite in The Fog earlier in the year 2005. The following year, she appeared on screen in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club and also, as the Liam Neeson character Kim Mills as Kim Mills for Taken. She reprised her role in Taken 2 (2011) and Taken 3 (2013).She also played Alice in Malice in Wonderland, a modern version from the Lewis Carroll novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace returned to her role as Shannon in Lost, including the finale. The year was 2013, and she appeared in the sixth season of Californication. She plays Faith who's the star-gazer and a socialite. She is a member of the Gyllenhaal clan as well as the younger sister of Jake Gyllenhaal. Her first roles were in films starring her father as an adolescent. With her brother, she was also as a character in Donnie Darko (2000). She appeared next in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind in 2002, and Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal received critical acclaim for her leading performances in the erotic romantic comedy drama Secretary (2002) as well as the drama Sherrybaby (2006) each of which earned her the Golden Globe Award nomination. She gained wider recognition for her role as Rachel Dawes, a superhero in The Dark Knight (2008) due to the success of several commercial films she starred in the year the year 2006. In the wake of her performance that was a hit as a mother who is not married of Crazy Heart (2009), she was awarded the Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Gyllenhaal made her debut as a director and writer in 2021, with the psychological drama The Lost Daughter. For this movie, she received the Best Screenplay Award at the Venice International Film Festival and received nominations for the Academy Award.
