MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He has made major global inroads into the Latin popular music scene. In 2017, his 2016 hit Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. His debut album ADN was made available through La Industria Inc., which is a Medellin-based Sony distribution company. The album peaked at the top of the charts, number 8 on the Top Latin Albums chart. The following year he became part of Ozuna for the Top Five smash Vaina Loca. He released Dopamina which was his top charting sophomore album the years following. Later, in 2021, the singer sang a duet 2021 alongside TINI in her smash hit Maldita Foto. 2000, which featured the smash record La Bachata appeared in 2023. Turizo came from a family of musicians the mother of his younger brother and father are musicians. In interviews, Turizo has stated that music is an essential part of his life. When he was a kid, he began learning to play the saxophone and ukulele and piano. Despite initially wanting to be veterinarian, Julian convinced him that having lessons from a Cuban singing teacher would change his direction in life.
